Spotlight: Tarek Dessouky MD, MBA, MPH

Dr Dessouky has over 25 years of experience in clinical trials design, logistics, and implementation. After completing his residency in Urology at Lyon University in France, he decided to specialize in clinical trials. He was the Director of the National Institute of Clinical Research and then a Founder and CEO of the American Institute of Research. A few years later, he was also a founder and the Executive Director of the Innovative Clinical Research Institute, the Research Arm of The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation. Dr. Dessouky has been a consultant to numerous pharmaceutical and Research companies. As a consultant, he also helped many physicians’ groups to start and conduct clinical trials. Dr. Dessouky is a visiting professor at the American University of Health Sciences, where he has taught Clinical Trials and Business Development since 2004. He also serves on their advisory board.
Dr Dessouky received his Executive MBA from the Drucker School of Management, Claremont Graduate University, and his MPH for Health Professionals from UCLA.
