For Those We Love

How can we measure our care, our giving

For those we truly love

Can it be weighed, by grams or ounces

Can it be measured, by feet or meters

Whatever we possess, is as nothing

If we do not care or provide comfort, and security

For those we love

Time is truly a treasure. It gives us the chance to spend time with our loved ones. However, at the same time, time is very valuable. Sometimes, we lose track of time so we miss the opportunity to simply reach out to say Hello or I love you. Love is not measured by material items; it has to be conveyed from the heart. While love can be demonstrated by our actions, in the end, the importance of love derives from the heart. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 states:

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”

Love, while it may be complex, has to be unconditional. Grudges cannot be held because we have to get used to the challenges being thrown at us. If we want real power and strength, we have to walk in love in God’s name first. In fact, we need this power to do the things that God wants us to do. Power is overcoming the hurdles and providing love and prayer for others. If you love, do everything in love.

May God Bless You All.
